It’s been two months since I left my full-time job… And somehow, I am sitting in the parking lot of a beautiful boutique inn overlooking the mountains in Chattanooga to shoot content for them. 🥹 And I’m just overwhelmed with gratitude. The last couple of months have been HARD. So much overthinking, second-guessing, wondering if I made the right decision, and trying to figure out what in the world I’m doing with my life. 😂 But little by little, things are starting to make sense. Doors are opening. My vision is getting clearer. And for the first time in a long time, I feel genuinely aligned with what I’m doing. I still don’t have it all figured out. Not even close. But I’m starting to see how God has been putting the pieces together all along. I sat down to record what I thought would be a quick IG story, and instead found myself getting emotional as I reflected on the last two months… I’m just in awe of God’s faithfulness. And I’m incredibly grateful for every single person who has encouraged me, prayed for me, supported my work, or cheered me on as I figure out this new chapter. You have no idea how much it means to me. 🤍 God is so good. And I’m really, really excited about what’s ahead. 🥹

In honor of Labor Day, here’s a look back at my extremely linear and predictable career path. LOL JK JK JK. 😂 The funny part is, I used to think all the pivots meant I was inconsistent. Now I think they were building range… skills and wisdom I needed for the next season. Because every chapter gave me something I’m using now. Beauty taught me creativity. Chick-fil-A taught me service. Network marketing taught me sales and how to build an audience. Coaching taught me strategy, leadership, and communication. Podcasting taught me how to use my voice. Ministry taught me about obedience, spiritual formation, people, and what actually matters. And now? I get to bring all of it with me. And maybe that’s why I’m less interested now in forcing myself into one neat career box. Because when I look back, none of these chapters feel random anymore. They feel like different pieces of the same person becoming more fully who God always knew she would be. And I have a feeling I’m about to use more of those pieces at the same time than I ever have before. A pretty major chapter of my life just ended. After spending the last two years working on staff at my church, I’ve officially stepped away from my role and back into entrepreneurship… which is both strangely familiar and completely new. If you’ve been around for a while, you know this isn’t my first time building something of my own. I built a six-figure business. 
I stepped away from it. 
I stepped back into the 9–5. 
And somewhere along the way, God started stirring something in me again. So here I am. Starting over. Again. 😂 Except this time, I’m not trying to recreate the life or business I had before. I’m building a creative life. Becoming more like Jesus. Following the Holy Spirit. Creating, writing, traveling, telling stories, making things, and figuring out what this next version of entrepreneurship actually looks like as I go. There is A LOT I don’t know yet. But I know I’m done saying “maybe later” to the life and work God is calling me into. So… welcome to the messy middle of career reinvention. 🤍 I have a feeling this next chapter is going to be a good one.
